A free classroom resource and online learning for teaching fertility and assisted reproduction treatment in years 3-10.
This comprehensive teaching resource and online learning are designed to assist with teaching fertility and assisted reproductive treatment. This can be sensitive and complex to teach but is vital for inclusive education.
These resources will help teachers:
- Develop knowledge, confidence and skills to support the teaching of fertility and assisted reproductive treatments with young people.
- Reduce shame and stigma associated with being conceived through assisted reproductive treatments by including discussions around sperm, egg and embryo donation or surrogacy when teaching conception.
- Develop strategies for dealing with difficult questions.
- Gain access to specialist activities to support teaching and learning in the workplace.
The resource has been developed with the expertise of SHV Relationships and Sexuality Education educators in conjunction with The Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority (VARTA) and YourFertility, as well as through expert advice from teachers and educational leaders.
